JEAN-LUC GUERIN
Born in Paris in 1944, died in Trouville in 2022
Jean-Luc Guérin was discovered by leading collectors and cultural institutions in the 1980s. Guérin then became a leading figure in French post-minimalism.
In the late 1990s, the artist began a radical change in his painting and tackled figuration head-on in his tense subjects, emphasized by confident drawing.
Jean-Luc has held numerous exhibitions in both France and Germany.
His violent and tender, rigorous and free painting has now taken the path of synthesis, between the abstract minimalism of his early days and this calm figuration.
His work, already described by some as historic, is supported by a large number of leading collectors.
